Team Troon On Tour: Noren and Montgomerie with Top 50 Finishes

PGA TOUR – Shriners Children’s Open

The PGA TOUR was in Las Vegas last week and Team Troon member Alex Noren was representing Team Troon. Alex, who is on a three week consecutive playing streak (yes he is known to grind…more on that later) played quite well and had a great  showing finishing T3 for the tournament.

  • T3 Alex Noren 68-65-68-65 = 266 / -18

PGA CHAMPIONS – SAS Championship

Colin Montgomerie and his All Troon bag was in Cary, North Carolina for the SAS Championship. He had yet another Top 50 finish finishing T41. Solid playing Colin

From The Week/Weeks Prior:

RYDER CUP – Congrats Team Europe
A belated congrats is in order for Team Europe who captured the Ryder Cup in Rome. It was a great week to watch members of Team Troon competing and competing against each other that week. Represented on Team Europe, Matt Fitzpatrick competed in three matches that week and Troon Investor/Supporter Rory McIlroy contributed 4 points that week and playing in five matches. Team Troon was also represented on Team USA with Justin Thomas contributing 1.5 points for the USA. Congrats again to Team Europe and to the Team Troon members who participated.

PGA TOUR – Sanderson Farms

The PGA Tour was in Mississippi in the Sanderson Farms Championship to begin the month and team Troon member Alex Noren was in the field. He played great all week by shooting par or under every round. He carded three eagles over the course of the event and even went bogey free on his second round. Great playing Alex!

  • T43 Alex Noren: 69-69-72-70 = 280 / -8

Special thanks is in order to Alex Noren who that week, swung by the Park Golf in Jackson, Mississippi to participate in  groundbreaking event of the first pilot location to build a Park Golf Course. Park Golf is a three-hole, par 3, short golf course with artificial turf built in a local park. And will be free to the public. Park Golf and First Tee — Central MS hosted the event, that included several PGA TOUR players, City of Jackson officials, First Tee participants, and Friends of First Tee. DP World Tour

The DP World Tour was in Scotland  and it was Team Troon Matt Fitzpatrick coming off a Ryder Cup Victory that secured another win overseas. He carded every round in the 60’s which led to Fitzpatrick’s 3 shot victory at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. This marks his second win of this year! Great job Matt!

  • 1st Matt Fitzpatrick: 67-64-66 = 194 / -19

LPGA TOUR
The previous weeks, Team Troon member Yealimi Noh played in the Ascendant LPGA Benefiting Volunteers of America at the Colony and the week prior at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G. She played well both week with Arkansas being a highlight with a Top 10 finish.

Coming Up This Week

PGA TOUR

The PGA TOUR is in Japan for the Zozo Championship. As alluded earlier, Alex Noren is a warrior and playing in three consecutive weeks. He traveled from Las Vegas to Japan to tee it up this week. Go Alex!

PGA Champions
The PGA Champions head to Richmond Virginia and the Dominion Energy Charity Classic. Colin Montgomerie is in the field and looking to continue his solid play.

LPGA

While an official press release is forthcoming, the addition of Benedetta Moresco to Team Troon was announced to the World of Troon via @Troon social and via Benedetta’s Social Channels at the end of September. Welcome to the Team Benedetta!

The newest addition to the team is in Venice, Florida at Stage 2 of LPGA Tour School. She finished 12th in Stage 1 (in Palm Springs) and is competing this week in Stage 2 at Plantation Golf and Country Club. Moresco played her collegiate golf at University of Alabama so shares that common bond with Team Troon Member Justin Thomas. Born and raised in Italy, Benedetta will also be going through the LET Tour School and will look to play around the world in 2024.

Benedetta as you recall, was the Low Amateur at Pebble Beach Golf Links this summer at the US Women’s Open. Her caddie is Chris Rose whom has lineage to Troon in that, prior to getting on Benedetta’s bag, he was an independent contractor caddie of Troon-owned CADDIEMASTER.
